تعاون بين الهيئة العامة للاستثمار والمناطق الحرة وشركة
(بتروتريد) للتخلص الآمن من المخلفات البترولية

• نظام مُحكم لتداول وإعادة تدوير مخلفات 2400 شركة ومؤسسة صناعية

وقعت الهيئة العامة للاستثمار والمناطق الحرة وشركة الخدمات التجارية البترولية (بتروتريد) بروتوكول تعاون لتنظيم التخلص الآمن من المخلفات البترولية والزيوت المعدنية المُستعملة بالمناطق الحرة والاستثمارية.
وقام بتوقيع البروتوكول اللواء/ ياسر عباس، نائب الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة العامة للاستثمار والمناطق الحرة، نيابة عن السيد/ حسام هيبة، الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة، ومن جانب شركة (بتروتريد) قام السيد/ باسم الصباغ، مساعد رئيس الشركة للشئون التجارية، بالتوقيع نيابة عن الدكتور وسيم عبد السلام وهدان، رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة، وذلك بحضور المهندس عصام البحيري، رئيس قطاع المناطق الحرة، والسيد/ أحمد كمال، رئيس الإدارة المركزية للمناطق الاستثمارية بالهيئة.
وينص البروتوكول على إعداد نظام مُحكم لتداول وإدارة ومعالجة المواد والمخلفات البترولية، ومكافحة كافة صور وأشكال التلوث البيئي، والإتجار غير المشروع للمخلفات البترولية الخطرة.
وستلزم الهيئة العامة للاستثمار الشركات العاملة داخل المناطق الحرة والمناطق الاستثمارية، والتي يبلغ عددها حوالي 2400 شركة، بتسليم المخلفات البترولية الخطرة لشركة (بتروتريد)، كما ستقوم الهيئة بإمداد شركة (بتروتريد) بالبيانات والمعلومات الخاصة بالشركات، حتى تتمكن الشركة من توعية كافة الشركات بخطورة تسرب النفايات البترولية الخطرة إلى مقاولي السوق السوداء بما يضر بالبيئة.
وتلتزم شركة (بتروتريد) بتقديم خدماتها بأسعار تنافسية للشركات العاملة تحت مظلة الهيئة العامة للاستثمار والمناطق الحرة، بالإضافة إلى تقديم حافز بيئي وشهادة بيئية للشركات المُلتزمة باشتراطات وضوابط التخلص الآمن من المخلفات البترولية.
وقال اللواء ياسر عباس إن الالتزام بالبعد البيئي في تأسيس وتشغيل المشروعات عامل جذب أساسي للاستثمار، سواء الاستثمارات المرتبطة بالاقتصاد الاخضر أو الاستثمارات التقليدية، بالإضافة إلى فوائده على الحفاظ على الصحة العامة وزيادة الإنتاجية، كما أن استراتيجية التنمية المستدامة المصرية “مصر 2030” ضمنت حماية البيئة كمحور أساسي في كافة أهداف القطاعات التنموية والاقتصادية.
وقال السيد/ باسم الصباغ، مساعد رئيس شركة (بتروتريد) للشئون التجارية، إن الشركة ملتزمة بالتخلص الأمن من المخلفات البترولية، وفقا للتشريعات والقواعد المصرية، وتنفيذ تعليمات السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي بالتحسين المستمر والمستدام لمنظومة حماية البيئة في مصر وفق مؤشرات أداء واضحة.

Cooperation between GAFI and Petrotrade for the Safe Disposal of Petroleum Waste
There is an elaborate system for handling and recycling the waste of 2,400 companies and industrial establishments
The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) and Petroleum trading service co (Petrotrade) signed a cooperation protocol to regulate the safe disposal of petroleum waste and used mineral oils in the free and investment zones.
The protocol was signed by Mr. Yasser Abbas, Vice CEO of GAFI, on behalf of Mr. Hossam Heiba, GAFI CEO, and Mr. Basem El-Sabagh, Assistant Chairman of Petrotrade Company for Trading Affairs, signed on behalf of Dr. Wassim Abdel Salam Wahdan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrotrade. The protocol was signed in the presence of Engineer Essam El-Behairy, the Head of Free Zones Sector, and Mr. Ahmed Kamal, Head of the Central Department for Investment Zones of GAFI.
Moreover, the protocol stipulates the preparation of an elaborate system for handling, managing and treating petroleum materials and waste, as well as combating all forms of environmental pollution, and illicit trafficking of hazardous petroleum waste.
GAFI will oblige companies operating within the free zones and investment zones, which number about 2400 companies, to hand over hazardous petroleum waste to “Petrotrade”. GAFI will also provide “Petrotrade” with data and information about the companies, so that the company can raise awareness of all companies about the danger of hazardous petroleum waste access to black market contractors, which harms the environment.
“Petrotrade” is committed to providing its services at competitive prices to companies operating under the umbrella of GAFI, in addition to providing an environmental incentive and an environmental certificate for companies that adhere to the requirements and controls of the safe disposal of petroleum waste.
Mr. Yasser Abbas said that commitment to the environmental dimension in establishing and operating projects is a main factor for investment, whether investments related to the green economy or traditional investments, in addition to its benefits on maintaining public health and increasing productivity. In addition, the Sustainable Development Strategy “Egypt 2030” included environment protection as a main axis in all the goals of the development and economic sectors.
Mr. Basem El-Sabagh, Assistant Chairman of Petrotrade Company for Trading Affairs, said that the company is committed to the safe disposal of petroleum waste, in accordance with Egyptian legislation and rules, and to the instructions of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for the continuous and sustainable improvement of the environment protection framework in Egypt according to clear performance indicators.
